We welcome you

Yes – we welcome you to Common Ground, so please take your time to look around. There’s lots to see.

We would greatly appreciate it if before leaving this website you declare your interest in one of our workshops and join our subscribers/mailing list. Please comment on aspects that excite you and for which you recognise a need, and use the “I am interested” button on each workshop/course that you like – we so appreciate your input. Please also use the Twitter and Facebook links to spread the word.

Common Ground is an education, retreat and ecotherapy centre based on a farm in Northern Ireland.  It has been set up as a Community Interest Company, which means that it functions on a not for profit basis.

We are a multi-faceted organisation, but everything we offer is rooted in nature – in the landscape of Co Fermanagh and its ecosystems. The local communities are part of those systems: through an ecological perspective, we aim to serve all.

We offer a unique combination of services including horticulture therapy, outdoor and ecotherapy, creative arts, training for professionals, and a range of eco-educational activities.  We will also aim to teach people how to produce food in traditional and sustainable ways. Other activities on the land and in the area will support biodiversity.

There is a way to donate to Common Ground and have Gift Aid added to your donation at the Localgiving website.

Localgiving and Give as you Live have teamed up so now you can shop at over 4,000 online retailers and a donate a percentage of every pound you spend to Common Ground – without it costing you a penny more! Here is the link – http://www.giveasyoulive.com/join/common-ground-ni-cic

We want you to be involved from the start so have a good look at all of our programmes and let us know what excites you and what you would like to attend. Conversely let us know if there is something you need that you think we could offer.  We will soon be publishing a calendar.

A lovely site which reflects your vision well. I love the photos and the poems – I feel like I am stepping into the space you are creating.

I wish you well in this venture, I sense something special here for many people; maybe one day I will be able to spend time there myself.

What an incredibly beautiful initiative, and a wonderful website and vision so far.
Such important, fragile and necessary work to be done, lovely to see it in such caring and capable hands!

I hope that I may contribute and participate in a deeper meaningful way in the near future, and look forward to seeing how the journey unfolds.
