Getting here

Common Ground is on a farm in East Fermanagh. This is also known as the East Erne area. The farm is 17 miles from Enniskillen, the county town, and 7 miles from the border town of Roslea /Rosslea. The nearest towns are Brookeborough and Fivemiletown, five and  three miles away respectively. Both towns are on the A4 Belfast to Enniskillen Road. In terms of cities we’re 50 miles from Derry/Londonderry, 65 miles from Belfast and its international airport, and 110 miles from Dublin.

If you are interested yet live across the Irish Sea (or even further afield) then please don’t be put off.  Common Ground supports those who travel by car or public transport by offering reduced rates on workshops and creating courses that are more than a couple of days long.  We are also glad to offer experiences before and after our events such that it’s worthwhile to travel here from afar. For example, you could spend a few days on retreat or use the farm as a base while exploring the culture, mythology and wider landscape of the region.

Details of routes by car are on the driving directions page and public transport are given on the travel arrangements page.  We actively encourage you in slow travel. It is better for the planet and it’s a nicer way to get from place to place and one that doesn’t disconnect you from the landscape. It also gives time for reflection and the possibility of a more meaningful journey.

Out address is 165 Cooneen Road, Tattenabuddagh, Coonian/Cooneen, Brookeborough, Co Fermanagh, BT75 0NH. Using the post code on google maps or satnav will take you to the approximate location until their data is corrected. You can find our precise location on Google Maps. Here’s the link – Common Ground N.I.

In simple terms you will either arrive in the south, i.e. Dublin airport / Dun Laoghaire ferry. Once you have arrived in Dublin it is an easy 3/3.5hr bus to Enniskillen where we will pick you up. If you arrive in the north, i.e. Belfast airports/ Larne ferry, we will likely come and fetch you. Otherwise it is a 1.5 hr bus journey from Belfast.   If you really can’t avoid a flying visit then with our support you can do the journey door-to-door in 5hrs from the major UK cities
